Cascade System

This stainless steel, compressed air regulator (shown below) has an inlet pressure rated at 6000 PSI and offers the option of two, factory-set, maximum outlet pressures.  SCUBA cylinders can safely be filled at 3250 PSI on one side and SCBA cylinders at 3850 PSI from the other.

The cascade system shown uses a SWB-4-1 to attach (4 ) HC4500 cylinders that are connected with (3) CH2-F (5000 PSI rated hose assemblies, 1/4” FNPT x 2 ’).  Brass, 347-2 Nuts & 347-3 Nipples (4500 PSI working pressure) are used on each hose end.  The brass (4)   T347B “Tee style” connectors are the most economically the option for this system.  The “Tee” end of this connector is s designed as a “347 Nut and  Nipple” for attaching to the cascade cylinder.  The two remaining sides of the T347B connector are intended to match the CGA 347 cylinder valve outlet.

It’s recommended that a “Line Valve” & “Check Valve” be added to the compressor hose to eliminate back flow and loss of pressure when the compressor is not running.
